We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of control systems, using your expertise in PLC programming, electrical systems troubleshooting, and cost estimation.
As a Controls Engineer, you will work with a variety of industrial packaging and container systems, including bulk containers.
You'll have the chance to work with cutting-edge controls equipment and DCS controls, and will be a critical player in design reviews.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Foxboro systems, and will be able to bring their expertise to bear on a wide range of complex and challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain control systems for a variety of industrial packaging and container systems, including bulk containers.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on a variety of electrical systems.
Participate in design reviews, providing expert advice and feedback to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Use PLC programming to develop and implement complex control systems.
Work with DCS controls and Foxboro systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Provide accurate and detailed cost estimations for projects, helping to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate with a team of engineers and other professionals to develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and use this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our processes and systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
Extensive experience with industrial packaging and container systems, including bulk containers.
Proven experience with controls equipment and DCS controls.
Strong background in PLC programming.
Experience with Foxboro systems is highly desirable.
Proven ability to perform electrical systems troubleshooting.
Experience in providing cost estimation for engineering projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
