Job Description:
Responsible for the integrity of the financial reporting of the Amherst, VA plant. As an integral member of the leadership team, this position provides day to day and long term leadership for all finance functions. This includes looking to optimize systems, add value, and improve efficiency to deliver the plant metrics. This position works with the Glad division and plant leaders to explain cost and production variations and their financial impact. Involved with various levels of financial analysis related to project accounting and working with division resources to assure operating financial records are accurate.
Key
Responsibilities:
Support plant in achieving its Financial Performance Objectives (deliver plant fiscal year results).
Guide plant efforts in assessing cost shortfalls from forecast and/or other cost commitments.
Drive improvement in plant Raw and Packaging Loss reduction efforts.
General finance and accounting responsibilities.
Identify and lead/sponsor key cost initiatives to drive improved results and/or process improvements.
General plant support and participation in World Class Manufacturing efforts
Qualifications:
Years and Type of
Experience:
5 years experience in a cost accounting and/or analysis/leadership role.
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Analysis processes and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully apply forecasting techniques and skills to develop and evaluate business goals and strategies, analyze information to derive insights and implications to initiate planning and/or re-planning, and controlling actual results versus budget.

Business degree or MBA
